My SIP Planner

Privacy Policy

This page explains what happens with information when you use My SIP Planner’s calculators, read our articles, or get in touch. We keep things minimal and transparent.

Who this applies to

My SIP Planner (“we,” “us”) operates the website mysipplanner.com (the “Site”). This policy describes our practices for visitors and users in India and elsewhere. By using the Site, you agree to this policy. If you disagree, please stop using the Site.

What the Site does

The Site offers free, browser-based tools (SIP, lumpsum, and SWP calculators), educational blog-style articles, and a way to contact us by email. You do not need to register or log in to use the calculators.

Calculator numbers you enter are processed in your browser to show illustrative results. We do not operate a feature that saves your calculator inputs on our servers or builds a personal investment profile from them.

Information we do not intentionally collect for the calculators

We do not ask you to submit your PAN, bank details, Aadhaar, folio numbers, or other sensitive financial identifiers to use the tools.

Because calculations run on your device, routine use of the calculators alone does not send those inputs to us. Do not email us confidential account numbers or passwords; we will not ask for them.

When you contact us

If you write to us at mysipplanner@gmail.com, we receive your email address, any name you include, and the contents of your message. We use this only to read and reply to you, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise.

We do not sell your email address or use it for marketing lists unless you explicitly agree to that in a specific conversation.

Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

We use browser local storage to remember your light or dark theme choice (via the theme toggle). That preference stays on your device and is not used to identify you across other companies’ sites.

Our hosting or infrastructure may issue ordinary session or security cookies needed to deliver the Site over HTTPS (for example routing, performance, or abuse protection).

When advertisements are shown (see the next section), Google and other ad partners may set or read cookies or similar technologies in your browser to measure delivery, cap frequency, and support personalised or non-personalised ads, according to their own policies and your settings.

You can clear site data or cookies through your browser settings; the theme may reset until you choose it again.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display ads on some pages. Google and its partners may use cookies, mobile advertising IDs, or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this Site and other sites. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers in exchange for money; ad delivery is handled by Google under its publisher and advertising policies.

For how Google uses data when you use our Site or partner sites, see Google’s Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy. For how Google uses cookies in advertising: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising from Google where available via Google Ads Settings, or through your device or browser controls (for example blocking third-party cookies). If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google may show non-personalised ads or limited ads depending on consent signals and applicable law.

We place AdSense code only on live, publicly accessible pages. If you believe an ad is inappropriate, you can report it through mechanisms Google provides; we may also adjust placement or remove categories where our policies require it.

Server logs and hosting

Like most websites, servers that deliver the Site may automatically record technical data when you load a page, for example your IP address, browser type, rough region, time of visit, and the page requested. We use this information only to operate and protect the Site (for example, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and aggregate statistics), not to build a personal dossier about you.

Third parties

The Site may load fonts or other assets from reputable third-party providers as part of normal web delivery. Those providers have their own privacy policies. We do not control their practices beyond choosing services we believe are appropriate for a small educational site.

Advertising is provided by Google AdSense as described in the Advertising (Google AdSense) section above.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites you reach through links on our pages.

Retention

Email correspondence may be kept for a period we consider reasonable to respond to you and to maintain a record of ordinary support or legal needs, unless you ask us to delete it and we can do so without conflicting with our obligations.

Server logs are typically rotated or deleted according to our hosting configuration and are not kept indefinitely for profiling purposes.

Security

We take sensible steps to protect the Site and any information we hold (for example, using HTTPS where configured by our host). No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; use the Site at your own discretion.

Children

The Site is aimed at a general audience interested in personal finance education. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe we have received personal information from a child in error, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change when we do. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site where practical. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Your privacy choices (international visitors)

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data, or to object to processing or to port data. Because we minimise collection, we may have little or no account data to export. For calculator use, inputs are processed in your browser and are not stored as a personal profile on our servers.

For advertising, Google provides controls described in the Advertising section above. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country where applicable law allows.

To exercise any request relating to email correspondence you sent us, contact mysipplanner@gmail.com and describe the request. We will respond within a reasonable period consistent with applicable law.
